Waterfront
With the only day camp setting on the Farmington River, a full range of waterfront activities are available, such as canoeing, motor boating, water- skiing, tubing, kayaking, and fishing — all supervised by Red Cross certified instructors and conducted with safety in mind.
Swimming Program
Camp Shalom has a renowned swimming program, and campers benefit from two pool swim periods daily. Each camper recieves Red Cross instructional swimming lessons provided by certified Water Safety Instructors plus a period of recreational swim each day.
Sports
With an almost unlimited range of activities, including a low ropes challenge course, softball, tennis, baseball, archery, soccer, basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, flag football, non-competitive group games and our brand new climbing wall, campers learn important lessons in teamwork and cooperation, while developing their athletic skills.
Arts
Campers can express their creative sides and learn new skills with arts & crafts, ceramics, music, dance, cooking, jewelry design, digital photography and more.
Campers in 2nd grade and older can spend more time doing what they love with free choice options. With a full menu of sports and art activities, our campers are always challenged, entertained and engaged. Activity registration forms, with instructions, will be mailed to you once your camp space is confirmed.
